On Sunday 6th September Brother Michael O’Grady made Solemn Profession of Vows. In an interview Br. Michael said, “I am humbled by the step I am about to take but have been blessed by the kindness of so many people who have encouraged and supported me during my vocational journey”
Br. Michael was born into an Irish Catholic family in West London. The 51 year old comes from a family of religious figures including his uncle, an MSC Priest, and three aunts who are Nuns, two Presentation Sisters and one a Poor Clare Nun in Carlow. Prior to joining the Franciscans he worked for HSBC Bank plc in a varity of clerical and managerial roles.
