The beloved Poor Clare order was honored as it marked its 800th anniversary worldwide.
Cardinal Sean Brady arrived in Graiguecullen on Saturday to celebrate the Mass which was also attended by 34 priests, hundreds of parishioners and visitors from across the country.
The nuns themselves attended the Mass through their enclosure and, after the ceremony, greeted scores of well-wishers who made the journey to see them.
